Get ready to celebrate Independence Day with the 21st Annual Firecracker 4K, taking place on Friday, July 4, 2025, at the picturesque University Park, Centre, near Beaver Stadium on the Penn State Main Campus. This festive 4K run/walk is part of the Central PA 4thFest celebration, a day-long event that honors our nation's birthday and promises fun for everyone. Last year, 776 enthusiastic runners and walkers kicked off the festivities, and this year, we invite you to don your most patriotic attire and join in the excitement!
Participants can look forward to a professionally timed race with awards for the top male and female finishers, as well as top three in each age category ranging from 10 & under to 70+. All race registrants who sign up by June 25th will receive a stylish tech race t-shirt. After the run, stick around for post-race refreshments and enjoy a variety of activities throughout the day, culminating in one of the best fireworks shows in the nation. Join us for a memorable day filled with community spirit and celebration—your participation makes it all possible!
