Get ready to celebrate Independence Day with the 21st Annual Firecracker 4K on Friday, July 4th, 2025, at University Park, Centre! This exhilarating run/walk kicks off the Central PA 4thFest, an all-day celebration honoring our nation's birthday. Starting at 9 a.m. near Beaver Stadium on the beautiful Penn State main campus, this event invites participants of all ages to don their most patriotic attire and join in the festive atmosphere.
Last year, 776 enthusiastic runners and walkers participated, making it a fantastic way to start the day before enjoying a variety of 4thFest activities and one of the nation's top fireworks shows later in the evening. All race registrants who sign up early by June 25th will receive a stylish Firecracker 4K T-shirt, and participants can look forward to awards for the top male and female finishers as well as age category winners. With refreshments provided post-race and water stations along the route, this event is set to be a highlight of your July 4th celebrations. Don’t miss out on this vibrant community event that supports local festivities and brings people together in the spirit of patriotism!
