Get ready for the inaugural Firefighters 5K, taking place on Saturday, June 7th, 2025, in the vibrant downtown Brunswick, Glynn! This exciting event invites runners and walkers of all abilities to join in a spirited 5K race, all while supporting the brave men and women of the Brunswick Fire Department. The race kicks off at 7:30 AM at the Brunswick Fire Station 1, located at 1201 Gloucester St, and will feature a scenic course marked with orange cones and red directional arrows.
Participants can pick up their race packets on June 6th from 5 PM to 8 PM during Downtown's First Friday event, right at the intersection of Gloucester and Richmond streets. With awards for the top three finishers in various categories—including Rookie, Probie, Firefighter, Captain, and Chief—there's plenty of incentive to push your limits. Enjoy great food from local vendors at The First United Methodist Church after the race and cheer on fellow participants as you celebrate community spirit and support for the Brunswick Firefighters Foundation. Join us for a day of fun, fitness, and camaraderie!

5 Alarm Alert! This is a new and exciting 5k race in downtown Brunswick for runners or walkers to benefit the Brunswick firefighters foundation!

Our mission is to provide resources and support to the Brunswick Fire Department, ensuring that our firefighters have the equipment, training, and wellness services they need to protect our community with excellence and care. Show your support for the men and women who put their lives on the line to save ours!
PACKET PICKUP LOCATION CHANGE.
Packet pick will be located at first Friday at the pinned location listed below. The intersection of Gloucester and Richmond st.

Date June 7th
Packet pickup with be June 6th from 5pm to 8pm at Downtowns First Friday. Locate the Fire Truck at Gloucester and Richmond St.

The First United Methodist Church. Parking will be street parking. It is recommended parking on the north side of Gloucester but you may also park on Norwich in front of the church if you come in before road closures.
Please note for safety that Gloucester St will be closed so you will have to come into the church from Monk St.
