Get ready for an exhilarating summer of running at the Firefly 5K series in Wilmington, New Hanover! Kicking off on June 26, 2024, this exciting three-race event will light up the last Wednesday of each month, culminating in a fantastic finale on August 28, 2024, at Long Leaf Park. Runners will gather at 7:00 PM for an evening of fitness, camaraderie, and community spirit, with race locations including Halyburton Park and Hanover Pines Park.
Participants will compete for awards in both Men's and Women's categories, and those who complete all three races will be automatically entered into a drawing for free entries to the Seaside Shuffle 5K in October! Plus, everyone who finishes will receive a custom race t-shirt. Join the Wilmington Road Runners Club for this free series and consider a $5 donation to support their Scholarship Program. Organiser's Description
Join the Wilmington Road Runners Club for the Firefly 5K. A three race series that will take place across New Hanover County this summer. All races will take place on the last Wednesday of the month at 7:00 pm.
JUNE 26, HALYBURTON PARK, 7:00 PM
JULY 31, HANOVER PINES PARK, 7:00 PM
AUGUST 28, LONG LEAF PARK, 7:00 PM _(followed by a social at The Brewers Kettle)_
There will be awards for the overall Men's and Women's winner of each race, and for the overall Men's and Women's winner of the three race series. Plus winners get a custom race t-shirt!
