The flat course features beautiful paved multi-use trails, looping through two tunnels and under Cane Bay Blvd, ensuring a fun and safe experience for everyone, including walkers and strollers. All finishers will be rewarded with a stylish 2025 Beanie, a long sleeve shirt, and complimentary coffee or cocoa. Plus, prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in various age groups, adding a competitive edge to this festive occasion. Join us for a day of health, community, and celebration as we welcome the New Year together!

No Better Way to start 2025 than with a 5k! Run Cane Bay is Excited to bring you The First Day 5k 2025. The race is being held in Cane Bay Plantation and is for all ages, skills, and speeds. Race starts at 9:25am.
Please join us in the beautiful Cane Bay for a fun, fast, new 5k! Held on the community paved trail system, this flat course is perfect for beginners, experts, and even walkers, and strollers. Sorry, but no pets are allowed.
The Course: Your Run/Walk will begin at Cane Bay Elementary School parking lot and use the paved multi-use trails to loop thru 2 tunnels for the 3.1 miles course. This paved course will take you under Cane Bay Blvd twice; while running along the new Nexton Parkway Extension runners will have to turn and cross the parkway where the Sheriff's Deputies will be stationed to ensure your safety.
All Finishers will receive the 2025 Beanie, a long sleeve shirt and FREE coffee or cocoa as they finish. Prizes will be given to males and females 1st thru 3rd overall and in the following age groups: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
