Set against the beautiful backdrop of Cane Bay Plantation, the 3.1-mile course is designed with everyone in mind—whether you're a seasoned runner, a casual walker, or even pushing a stroller.
Starting from the Cane Bay Elementary School parking lot, you'll traverse the community's paved multiuse trails, weaving through two tunnels while enjoying the fresh air and camaraderie of fellow participants. Runners will experience a safe and enjoyable route, with law enforcement stationed to ensure your well-being. As a special treat, all finishers will receive a stylish 2025 Beanie and complimentary coffee or cocoa. Plus, exciting prizes await the top male and female finishers across various categories! No Better Way to start 2025 than with a 5k! Run Cane Bay is Excited to bring you The First Day 5k 2025. The race is being held in Cane Bay Plantation and is for all ages, skills, and speeds.
Please join us in the beautiful Cane Bay for a fun, fast, new 5k! Held on the community paved trail system, this flat course is perfect for beginners, experts, and even walkers, and strollers. Sorry, but no pets are allowed.
The Course: Your Run/Walk will begin at Cane Bay Elementary School parking lot and use the paved multiuse trails to loop thru 2 tunnels for the 3.1 miles course. This paved course will take you under Cane Bay Blvd twice; while running along the new Nexton Parkway Extension runners will have to turn and cross the parkway where the Sherriff's Deputies will be stationed to ensure your safety.
All Finishers will receive the 2025 Beanie and FREE coffee or cocoa as they finish. Prizes will be given to males and females 1st thru 3rd in overall, masters, grand masters, and the following age groups: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
