In addition to the 5K, the event highlights a KIDS' FUN RUN, where youngsters will take on a delightful two-lap course in the picturesque academic circle. Awards will be presented to the little participants, along with the chance to engage in fun activities supervised by Walsh Physical Therapy students. Parents can also take advantage of babysitting services while they participate in the 5K. This community-focused event promotes fitness and health for all ages and supports Walsh's DPT students in their educational journey. Organiser's Description
The 13th annual FIT FAMILY 5K RUN AND WALK RACE takes place on _Saturday, September 14th, 2024_. The race starts on the campus of Walsh University and runs through the surrounding neighborhoods. Finishing on the campus, runners will hear the support from volunteers as they approach the downhill finish. After the race, there will be post-race music, awards, coffee, and bake sale! This fast road race serves as an excellent tune up for the Akron Marathon on Friday, September 27th, 2024!
In addition to the 5k race, there will also be a KIDS' FUN RUN! The fun run will take place in the center of campus where the kids will complete a two-lap course in the beautiful academic circle of campus. After the fun run, there will be awards with exciting prizes. Kids will also have the opportunity to participate in fun activities supervised by Walsh Physical Therapy students! We will also be offering babysitting for the parents and caregivers of fun run kids who want to run in the 5k!

This is a great way to introduce our younger generation to being healthy and fit. Each Kids Fun Run finisher will receive a participation award. Parents are welcome to accompany their children. No strollers!
