Organiser's Description
The Max Gruver Foundation believes there is no place for hazing in any organization. ย The purpose is to educate young people and parents about the dangers of hazing, the signs of hazing, and the importance of stepping up and helping when a situation appears to be getting out of control.
The Max Gruver Foundation, based in Roswell, Georgia, is a 501(c)3 organization founded in 2017 following the death of Roswell teen Max Gruver. ย Max was killed in a fraternity hazing ritual during his first semester at Louisiana State University. ย Since that tragic day, his parents, Rae Ann and Steve Gruver, have worked tirelessly to fight hazing in organizations across the country. ย They regularly speak at universities and high schools, work with Greek leadership nationwide, and with legislators to create stronger laws against hazing. ย Their work has made tremendous changes, and will continue to do so. ย
Participants can expect a high energy, fun morning with a mostly flat loop course. ย Runners and walkers of all levels are encouraged to participate.
