This uplifting day will feature a DJ to keep the energy high, an awards ceremony to celebrate participants, and a catered meal to reward your efforts. With check-in starting at 8:30 AM, the Kids Fun Run will begin at 9 AM followed by the 5K at 9:30 AM. Together, let's promote a healthy lifestyle and support the Alzheimer’s Association in their mission for care, research, and support. We welcome and encourage you to come out and join us for our 7th Annual Healthy Start Mind & Body 5K Run/Walk and Kids Fun Run to JUMP START the Fall Season off to a Healthy Start and help a worthy cause! The purpose of this event is to promote and raise awareness of Alzheimers Disease while being mindful of how keeping our mind & body active leads to a healthy life with positive outcomes.
Also, consider supporting this cause by additionally donating any amount that will help the Alzheimers Association in their endeavor to providing Alzheimers care, programming, support, and research. The donate button is at the top of this registration page. Together, we can help find a cure for this disease in which over seven million Americans are living with.
The 5K and Kids Fun Run races will be held at the beautiful, Occoquan Regional Park in Lorton, Virginia. This paved course winds its way along the delightful Occoquan River, extending you splendid, scenic views throughout the parks natural terrain.
We will have a DJ on site and there will be an award ceremony and a catered meal after the completion of the race at the Occoquan Regional Park Pavilion. We thank you in advance and we look forward to seeing you there!!
