Get ready for an exhilarating day of fun and fitness at the 8th Annual Fort Lee 5K - Running for Our Youth on Sunday, June 14th, 2026! Taking place in the vibrant community of Fort Lee, Bergen, this exciting event features a USATF certified 5K race along the scenic Abbott Blvd, along with a delightful One Mile Fun Run/Walk. The fun kicks off at 9:00 AM with the One Mile event, followed by the 5K race at 9:30 AM, and an awards ceremony at 10:30 AM to celebrate the top finishers.
Participants will have the chance to compete for awards across various categories, including overall male and female winners, first responders, and age groups every five years starting from ages 0-9. Don't forget to arrive early for packet pickup, starting at 7:30 AM on race day, or on Friday, June 12th, at the community center. Register by June 8th to guarantee your T-shirt and get ready for a day of community spirit and support for local youth, with all proceeds benefiting Fort Lee's young residents. Organiser's Description
Fort Lee PBA Local 245 will be hosting it's 8th annual Fast and Flat 5k Run and One Mile Fun Run/Walk on Sunday, June 14th, 2026 at 9:00AM. The USATF certified course will be held on Fort Lee's famous Abbott Blvd. The 1 mile fun run/walk will start 9:00am sharp followed by the 5K at 9:30am.
Award ceremony will begin at 10:30am. Awards will be given out to 1st 2nd and 3rd overall male/female as well as first place only for first responder male/female and ages broken down every five years after ages 0-9.
Packet pickup begins at 7:30 AM onsite. Packet pickup will also be held Friday June 12th from 4pm-7pm at the community center (1355 Inwood Terrace).
T-Shirts will only be guaranteed to participants who register by June 8th. 5K entry fee will be $40 on race day, 1 mile $30, credit card only accepted. Same day registration will be conducted through a QR code. Please have a smart phone to scan QR code to register on race day. No cash or check will be accepted for race day registrations.
