Ring in the New Year with a fast mile! Our traditional Frank Shorter mile will kick off your new year and fire up your competitive drive. We'll be at Westside Park in front of the pool. 1001 NW 31 Dr, Gainesville, FL 32605
FREE for current FTC members ( FREE race code can be found here by logging into your FTC account [https://floridatrackclub.wildapricot.org/Race-Discount-Codes]) and kids race is free for anyone; $15 for non-members for the adult 1-mile races. THERE WILL BE AWARDS FOR OVERALL MEN AND WOMEN. AWARDS FOR AGE GROUP WINNERS IN 10-YEAR CATEGORIES FOR 1ST IN EACH AGE GROUP.
$100 IN PRIZE MONEY FOR 1ST PLACE MALE AND FEMALE WHO BREAKS THE CURRENT FRANK SHORTER MILE RECORD:
* MALE: ENOCH NADLER - 4:20
* FEMALE: HALEY HASTY - 5:11
Kids who want to run/walk the Kids' Mustache run must register, but this is a FREE event for children 12 and under.
If you want to join the Florida Track Club and participate in the numerous races and track meets planned each year, go to Floridatrackclub.org [https://floridatrackclub.wildapricot.org/join] to signup. Individual yearly membership is only $40, family membership $65, and student membership $25. We also offer senior memberships for those who are 65 years of age or older. $25 for an individual, $40 for a family. Email us for more info.
For 2026 - 12 total races (all professionally timed) 9 of them are free for club members, 3 races with discounts, and a summer social.

Ring in the New Year with a fast mile! Our traditional Frank Shorter mile will kick off your new year and fire up your competitive drive. Separate heats for men and women and kids' run to follow. Two loops around the Westside Park neighborhood on a USATF Certified Course; great for family and friends who want to watch the race. FREE for current FTC members and kids; $15 for non-members. There will be awards for overall men and women and age group winners as well! -
