Join us for the inaugural Friends of the Poor Walk on Saturday, October 4th, 2025, in Scituate, Plymouth! The scenic walk will kick off at 9:30 AM, following a picturesque route from St. Mary's Parish Center to the Lighthouse and back. Sign in starts at 8:30 AM, and the first 100 registrants will receive a complimentary tee shirt! Bring your family and friends along for a day filled with community spirit and fun. Saint Mary of the Nativity has a vibrant SVDP conference that has been quietly serving the needy in the Scituate community for over 65 years. Our mission is to offer friendship, compassion and financial support to any Scituate resident facing difficult times. SVDP works diligently to collect funds needed to meet and support our neighbors who are facing unexpected hardship. We support all neighbors in need regardless of religious affiliation, race or ethnic background.
Our motto is to "see the face of Christ, and be the face of Christ".
