Organiser's Description
After a one-year absence, the FRIGID 8 and THERMAL 3 returns.
REGISTRATION: All runners must pre-register. There will be no race day registration.
SWAG: Registrants will receive a long sleeve shirt along with their bib and Christmas cookies in their swag bag on race day. Door-prizes will be placed in randomly selected bags. Swag bags will be available for pickup at the front of the church.
BATHROOMS: The current plan is to have bathroom facilities available before and after the race. However, the church will not be open for runners or their support team to keep warm before, during or after the race. Plan for the weather.
AWARDS: The race will be chip-timed. The overall winners, male and female, receive special awards. The top mens and womens age group finishers receive special Christmas ornaments.
AGE DIVISIONS: 9 under • 10-13 • 14-17 • 18-29 • 30-39 40-49 • 50-59 • 60-69 • 70
AWARDS CEREMONY. The current plan is to have no awards ceremony on race day. The awards will be mailed to recipients. Results will be posted online.
FOOD AND BEVERAGES: There will be one water stop on the course at the usual corner. Water will be available at the finish line. No food will be available after the race. A final decision on food and water will be made a few days before the race.
We want to hold an in-person road race in December in Wisconsin. While all of the details aren’t finalized yet, we are committed to organizing a safe race over the frozen tundra that follows all relevant guidelines and also ignites everyone’s inner yeti. Guidelines change. In the end, to a large extent, our success depends on every runner who participates:
