WERE HEADING BACK TO THE SOUTHWEST SOUTHWEST ALACHUA COUNTY, THAT IS! THE ARCHER BRAID 5K & 10K RETURNS THIS SPRING, INVITING RUNNERS OF ALL LEVELS TO ENJOY A FLAT, FAST COURSE ALONG ONE OF GAINESVILLES MOST SCENIC PAVED TRAILS.
The race begins at 8 a.m. at the Archer Braid Trailhead in Archer, with both distances following a smooth out-and-back route through quiet countryside. Youll find a hydration stop with water and Gatorade at the 5K turnaround, and every race is professionally timed for accurate results.
Awards for overall winners and the top three finishers in each 10-year age group.
Parking: Available in the grass lot by the Archer Community Center (16671 SW 137th Ave, Archer, FL 32618), just a few blocks from the start line.
Free for Florida Track Club members
$20 for non-members and with nine free races and discounted entries throughout the year, it just makes sense to join!
