This is the first race of the FXBG Trail series. This course is the most approachable in the series smooth, flowing, and built for beginners. It is a fast and flat, out-and-back, lollipop-style 5k course starting at the Fredericksburg Quarry and running along the Beach trail along the Rappahannock River.
With just 106 feet of elevation gain and 106 feet of loss, the terrain is gentle and forgiving, offering a steady rhythm from start to finish. With minimal elevation gain on this course, and only one small technical section with some rocks. Its the perfect opportunity to chase a PR, test your pacing strategy, or simply enjoy a fast, confidence-boosting race day.
