Join us for the exciting Galva Freedom Fest 5k on Saturday, July 4th, 2026, held in the charming town of Galva, Henry. This festive race kicks off at 8 AM, with day-of registration available from 7 AM to 7:45 AM. Runners can pick up their packets between 6:30 AM and 7:45 AM, ensuring everyone is ready for a fun-filled morning.
The course is flat and runs through the heart of Galva, making it perfect for runners of all ages and abilities. With a registration fee of just $25 before July 1st (which includes a t-shirt), it's an affordable way to celebrate Independence Day. After this date, registration will be available on race day only, so make sure to arrive early! Participants will compete for trophies in various age divisions ranging from 9 and under to 70 and over, with equal awards for both men and women. Special trophies will be awarded to the first finishers from the Galva School District 224, as well as the first Active Military/Veteran to cross the finish line. Plus, there's a chance to win a $100 bonus for breaking the course record and a prize for
