THE FALL 2026 RENDITION OF THE GIRLS ON THE RUN 5K WILL RETURN TO WRIGHT STATE UNIVERSITY. GIRLS ON THE RUN IS AN INCREDIBLE PROGRAM THAT INSPIRES GIRLS TO BE JOYFUL, HEALTHY AND CONFIDENT USING A FUN, EXPERIENCE-BASED CURRICULUM WHICH CREATIVELY INTEGRATES RUNNING. GIRLS ON THE RUN STRIVES FOR A WORLD WHERE EVERY GIRL KNOWS AND ACTIVATES HER LIMITLESS POTENTIAL AND IS FREE TO BOLDLY PURSUE HER DREAMS.
AS MANY OF YOU KNOW, OUR GIRLS ON THE RUN PARTICIPANTS TRADITIONALLY RUN ALONGSIDE AN ADULT RUNNING BUDDY. THE JOB OF THE RUNNING BUDDY IS TO PROVIDE ONE-ON-ONE SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGEMENT TO THEIR GIRL AS SHE TAKES ON A GREAT CHALLENGE. YOU CAN HELP OUR GIRLS FIND THEIR HAPPY PACE AND SHARE IN THE MAGIC OF HELPING HER CROSS THE FINISH LINE. THE 5K GIVE-AWAY IS FIRST COME FIRST SERVED - SO DON'T WAIT TO SIGN UP!
BACK THIS YEAR, WE ARE CONTINUING OUR KIDDIE FUN RUN. THE HALF-MILE FUN RUN WILL START AND FINISH AT THE SAME START FINISH LINE AS THE 5K. IT WILL START AT 12:30PM. THIS RACE WILL NOT BE TIMED, BUT WE WILL RUN THE CLOCK FOR PARTICIPANTS TO SEE THEIR TIME. IT IS OPEN TO ANYONE NOT QUITE READY TO TAKE ON THE ENTIRE 5K - AND A GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR YOUNGER SIBLINGS AND FRIENDS!
