The 5K race invites participants of all ages to run alongside their adult buddies, fostering a spirit of support and encouragement. Each participant will receive a fantastic race day giveaway, featuring a Girls on the Run branded reusable tote bag.
Additionally, the event includes a fun half-mile run starting at 12:30 PM, perfect for those not quite ready for the full 5K challenge. While this fun run isn’t timed, it allows everyone to experience the thrill of crossing the finish line. Whether you're a seasoned runner or a first-timer, this celebration of health, confidence, and community is an event you won't want to miss. Gather your friends and family, and help our girls find their happy pace on this special day!

THE FALL RENDITION OF THE GIRLS ON THE RUN 5K WILL RETURN TO WRIGHT STATE UNIVERSITY. GIRLS ON THE RUN IS AN INCREDIBLE PROGRAM THAT INSPIRES GIRLS TO BE JOYFUL, HEALTHY AND CONFIDENT USING A FUN, EXPERIENCE-BASED CURRICULUM WHICH CREATIVELY INTEGRATES RUNNING. GIRLS ON THE RUN STRIVES FOR A WORLD WHERE EVERY GIRL KNOWS AND ACTIVATES HER LIMITLESS POTENTIAL AND IS FREE TO BOLDLY PURSUE HER DREAMS.
AS MANY OF YOU KNOW, OUR GIRLS ON THE RUN PARTICIPANTS TRADITIONALLY RUN ALONGSIDE AN ADULT RUNNING BUDDY. THE JOB OF THE RUNNING BUDDY IS TO PROVIDE ONE-ON-ONE SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGEMENT TO THEIR GIRL AS SHE TAKES ON A GREAT CHALLENGE. YOU CAN HELP OUR GIRLS FIND THEIR HAPPY PACE AND SHARE IN THE MAGIC OF HELPING HER CROSS THE FINISH LINE. ALL 5K PARTICIPANTS WILL RECEIVE A RACE DAY GIVE-AWAY, THIS YEAR IT IS A GIRLS ON THE RUN BRANDED REUSABLE TOTE BAG.
BACK THIS YEAR, WE ARE CONTINUING A FUN RUN. THE HALF-MILE FUN RUN WILL START AND FINISH AT THE SAME START FINISH LINE AS THE 5K. IT WILL START AT 12:30. THIS RACE WILL NOT BE TIMED, BUT WE WILL RUN THE CLOCK FOR PARTICIPANTS TO SEE THEIR TIME. IT IS OPEN TO ANYONE NOT QUITE READY TO TAKE ON THE ENTIRE 5K.

WHERE: WRIGHT STATE UNIVERSITY (PARK IN LOT 17)
COST: $25 EARLY BIRD (NOW THROUGH NOVEMBER 8) AND $30 AFTER NOVEMBER 8.
