Join us for the inspiring girlygirl P.A.R.T.S. 5K WALK for Ovarian Cancer on Saturday, September 19, 2026, in Centerville, Barnstable! This year, we're excited to announce a streamlined and inclusive walking event that invites everyone to participate in solidarity to raise awareness and funds for ovarian cancer research. The walk is not just about the distance; it's about coming together as a community to support the fight against this devastating disease.

With a goal to surpass last year's impressive fundraising total of over $1,000,000 for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, every step taken during this event will contribute to lifesaving research led by Dr. Ursula Matulonis. Whether you're walking solo or bringing along family and friends, your participation matters! Let’s unite to honor the women in our lives while making a significant impact in the realm of ovarian cancer research. Don't miss this opportunity to change livesβ€”mark your calendar and prepare to walk for a cause that truly matters!

Organiser's Description

2025 5K WALK!!!

We are excited to announce we will be making girlygirl PARTS 2025 5K a WALKING EVENT.

We have decided to simplify the day by making it a WALK ONLY.

This will make the event even more welcoming and more inclusive for ALL! As a WALK we will not need a timing system and that will save money allowing us to donate more to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

The majority of participants that show up for our event are walkers so it made sense to streamline the day, slow it down and enjoy each others energy by WALKING together in solidarity to fight ovarian cancer together.

We hope this will encourage you to grab even more men, women and children to fight together to silence ovarian cancer by raising more awareness and money than any other year!

LET'S KEEP PUSHING TOWARDS THE NEXT $1,000,000!!

This research affects women around the world, not just New England!

_LAST YEAR WE GOT OUR TOTAL DONATIONS OVER $1,000,000!!! _

_LET'S CONTINUE ON THE ROAD TO THE NEXT $1,000,000 IN 2025!!!~~_

We need to raise money so that Dr. Matulonis and her team at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute can continue their lifesaving research.

Our GGP Family has always risen to the occasionwe know you will take this and run with it!!

_HIGHEST FUNDRAISING TEAMS _will be recognized once again this year. We will recognize our highest fundraising team with their team name on our GGP Rock. We will have extra awards this year for our TOP FIVE highest fundraising teams.

GIRLYGIRL'S STORY:

girlygirl P.A.R.T.S. started simply as a discussion between two friends over a cup of coffee in March of 2009. Jill Di-Tommaso was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in February of 2008. She and her wonderful friend, Laura Smith, have been dedicated to raising awareness about this devastating disease.

Together they founded the girlygirl P.A.R.T.S. 5K Run/Walk for Ovarian Cancer to raise funds for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute for the research of a pre-screening tool for ovarian cancer.

Jill passed away on December 27, 2015 after a long and courageous battle with ovarian cancer. We need your help now more than ever!

Over the last 14 years, we are proud to say that we have donated over $1,000,000 to the Ovarian Research Fund directed by Dr. Ursula Matulonis at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Dr. Ursula Matulonis is the medical director of gynecologic oncology.

C'mon out boys! Manly men run and walk with us for all the women in their lives.

Grab everyone you know and fight for your mothers, sisters, aunts, daughters and nieces! The time is now!!
