Get ready for an exciting day of fun and competition at the GMSD Invitational Mile on Monday, August 31st, 2026! Held at the picturesque Johnson Road Park in Germantown, Shelby, this spirited 1-Mile race is designed especially for elementary school kids in grades 3 through 5. The girls will kick off the event at 5:30 p.m., followed by the boys at 5:50 p.m.
Participants will not only have the thrill of running but will also have a chance to earn recognition, as the top fifteen finishers in each race will receive medals, with the 1st place team taking home a trophy! To add to the delight, all runners can cool off with popsicles after the race. Join us for a memorable evening filled with camaraderie, celebration, and youthful energy!

Organiser's Description
This is a fun 1-Mile race for elementary kids (3rd thru 5th grade) based in Germantown that will take place at Johnson Road Park on Monday, August 31st, 2026. The girls race will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the boys race will begin at 5:50 p.m. There will be an award ceremony at 6:10 p.m. The top fifteen individuals in each race will receive medals and the 1st place team will receive a trophy. We will also have popsicles after the race.
