Join us for the 16th Annual Johnston Health Gobble Waddle on Saturday, November 23, 2024, in the charming town of Smithfield, Johnston. This exciting event features both a 5K and a 10K race, making it the perfect opportunity for runners and walkers of all ages and fitness levels to participate together. The Gobble Waddle is not just a race; it’s a community celebration that encourages family involvement, and it’s stroller and dog-friendly—just remember to keep your furry friends on a leash and clean up after them!
As we gather to kick off the Thanksgiving holiday, we also emphasize the spirit of giving back. Participants are encouraged to bring at least five canned food items to donate to local food banks and the SECU Hospice House. With a festive atmosphere, all entrants will receive a participant t-shirt, a finisher prize for youth under 17, and plenty of snacks and water to refuel after the race. Registration opens at 8:00 a.m., with the races starting at 9:00 a.m., followed by an awards ceremony to celebrate the top finishers in various age categories. Welcome to 16th Annual Johnston Health Gobble Waddle event presented by HealthQuest Fitness and Wellness Center. It is a timed run and fun walk event for all ages and fitness levels definitely family, stroller, and dog friendly. Please remember that all dog participants must be friendly and on a fixed leash at all times. Owners must also be sure to clean up behind their dogs.
The Thanksgiving holiday is a time of giving and its important to remember those in our community who need your help. All participants are asked to bring at least five items of canned food to the event or drop them off at HealthQuest. Canned goods will be donated to our partner food bank agencies right here in our community as well as the SECU Hospice House.
All entry fees are non-refundable and include a participant t-shirt, finisher prize for youth under the age of 17, snacks, water, timer, and transaction fees. Preferred t-shirt sizes are not guaranteed for those registering after October 15.

Awards will be given to the top 2 male and top 2 female finishers for each age category. Prizes will be given to the 1st place overall male and female for both the 5K and 10K events.
