Get ready for an exciting day of fun and fitness at the Grand Rapids Kids Marathon on Saturday, October 17, 2026, in beautiful Grand Rapids, Kent! This vibrant event invites children aged 2 to 12 to take part in their very own 1.2-mile race on the actual marathon course, just before the adults hit the pavement the following day. The goal of the Grand Rapids Kids Marathon is to inspire healthy lifestyles and encourage physical activity in kids and their families.
Starting at 2:30 PM, young participants will run the final stretch of the marathon, experiencing the thrill of crossing a real finish line. Registered runners will receive an official race bib and T-shirt, along with a medal and certificate at the finish. Don’t forget the packet pick-up from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM in the DeVos Lot of WGVU! Join in the excitement, get active, and make lasting memories at this fantastic community event!

BEGIN YOUR TRAINING:
Starting the week of August 1, track each half mile of running/walking or 15 minutes of activity on your log sheet until you have completed 25 miles.
