Get ready to lace up your running shoes for the Grayslake Central Turkey Trot, happening on Sunday, November 15, 2026! This exciting 5K Run/Walk is set to take place at Grayslake Central High School, where participants will enjoy a scenic route starting and finishing on the GCHS track. Not only is this event a fantastic way to get outdoors and stay active, but it's also a wonderful opportunity to support the high school athletic program, with all proceeds going towards their financial needs.
Runners and walkers of all ages are invited to join in the fun, with trophies awarded to the top 3 male and female finishers overall, and medals for the top 3 finishers in each age group. Make sure to register early to secure your preferred shirt size, as availability is limited after October 17th! Each registrant will also receive a stylish drawstring bag. Packet pickup will take place the Saturday before the race, as well as on race day starting at 7:30 a.m. Don't miss out on this spirited community event—mark your calendars and prepare for a great day of fitness and fun!

Organiser's Description
The GCHS Booster Club Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk will take place at Grayslake Central High School. The race starts and ends on the GCHS track. All proceeds will help support the high school athletic program financial needs throughout the year.
The top 3 Male and 3 Female finishers overall will receive trophies.
Medals will be given for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in each age group category.
Register early to get your preferred shirt size; shirt size not guaranteed after October 17th. Each registrant will also receive a drawstring bag.
PACKET PICKUP
Walk toward the field and track from the parking lot.
The Fieldhouse doors are on the left (glass foyer) as you approach the field.
The 1st Packet Pick up will take place on the Saturday before the race from 4-6 p.m. in the schools Field House.
The 2nd packet Pick up and race day registration will take place on race day Sunday starting at 7:30 a.m. (also in the Field House).
Late registrations will also be available on Saturday & Sunday. The race will begin at 9 a.m. on the Grayslake Central High Schools track.

OPENS 02 JUL 26Participants should plan to line-up on the track behind the timing arch by 8:45 am, with the race start at 9 am. Runners and walkers will depart at the same time. Awards and raffles will start at 10:30 am in the Fieldhouse.
