Join us for the inaugural Greenford Ruritan Memorial Day 5K, taking place on Monday, May 25th, 2026, in the charming Salem, Mahoning area. This exciting event features a professionally chip-timed 5K race and a scenic 1-Mile Walk, both kicking off at 8:00 AM, followed by a delightful Kids Fun Run for ages 13 and under at 8:45 AM, covering a distance of 1/4 mile. All activities will commence at the Greenford Christian Church, with the start/finish line conveniently located in front of the Big Reach Center of Hope.
Not only will participants enjoy a fun-filled morning of fitness and community spirit, but they will also receive commemorative finisher medals, with additional participant shirts available for the 5K and 1-Mile Walk, and optional shirts for the Kids Fun Run. As an added bonus, all events wrap up just in time for the Memorial Day parade, starting at 9:00 AM. - The Kids Fun Run (ages 13 & Under) takes place at 8:45am. The Kids Fun Run is 1/4 mile in distance.

- Restrooms are available inside of Greenford Christian Church.
