Have you ever experienced the runners high that comes with conquering a 5K? Theres nothing quite like it. Whether its your first ever 5K, or your first in a long time, Fleet Feet North Jersey has a beginner-friendly training program that will get you to the finish line of our most exciting 5Ks of the year: Greta's Run & The Big Run!
Join us for an 9 week training program beginning April 7th 2025. This program offers a balance of run/walk workouts, cross training and rest days to gradually increase your fitness. Plus, your coaches and fellow training group members will provide the guidance and motivation you need to stay on track and have fun along the way. Our expert coaches are RRCA (Road Runner Club of America) and USATF (USA Track & Field) certified, and will help you cross the finish line...whatever your goal!
Get two races & training program for the price of one!! The Greta's Run & Big Run 5K Training Program/Fun Run culminates with running both Greta's Run on May 18th at Roosevelt Intermediate School in Westfield and The Big Run 5K Fun Run around Global Running Day on June 8th at 7:00pm at Fleet Feet Westfield. These two races so much more than just an awesome 5k, Greta's Run & The Big Run are celebrations of running and the community it pulls together. Come run with us! We know you can do it!

And if the training program isn't for you then join us for the Big Run Fun Run on June 8th! Afterwards join us at Lions Roar Brewery for a drink and pizza on us!!
All donation proceeds go to Imagine: Imagine is a growing organization based in Mountainside, NJ, that provides free, year-round grief support for children and families coping with loss. Serving families from over 57 towns across New Jersey, Imagine offers grief support at its two centers in Mountainside and Newark. In addition, Imagine provides grief education and training to schools, agencies, and workplaces, as well as on-site support after traumatic events.
This year, Imagine will host the 12th Annual Gretas Run 5K on Sunday, May 18th at 9AM in Westfield. In addition to the 5K, the event will feature a Kids Fun Run at 10AM and a Memory Walk at 10:30AM along with live music and local vendors. One of the largest 5K events in the area, Gretas Run was established in memory of Greta Schoenemann, a Westfield High School freshman who passed away after a tree branch fell on her and her classmates. The event was created by her childhood friends, Ben Nanna and Jayne Ruotolo, to honor her legacy and support Imagines mission.
All proceeds from the training program & Fun run directly benefit Imagine and its programs, helping to ensure that no child grieves alone. Just like Imagine New Jersey, here at Fleet Feet Northern NJ we're one big happy family. Family that runs together stays together!
