Get ready to lace up your running shoes and join the GWTC Beginning Running Group in Tallahassee, Leon! Kicking off on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, and running through November 19, 2025, this exciting training program is designed for both beginner and returning runners looking to conquer a 5K (3.1 miles). Each Wednesday evening at 6:00 PM, participants will meet at the beautiful Korean War Memorial at Cascades Park, where they will gradually build their endurance from a mile to a 5K distance using either a run-walk-run method or continuous running.

Whether you're brand new to running or looking to enhance your skills, there’s a spot for you! With free registration, this community-oriented group welcomes everyone, including those who can walk a mile or more. Remember to wear comfortable running attire, bring a water bottle, and a beach towel or mat for post-run stretching. Note that participants under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
