Event summary
Participants can choose from three exciting race distances: the challenging Half Marathon, a manageable 10K, or a fun 5K, each winding through Hattiesburg's iconic landmarks. The race course will take you through downtown, the picturesque Avenues, and around the Hattiesburg Zoo, concluding with a scenic route through The University of Southern Mississippi campus. In a unique twist, local nonprofits will each own a mile of the race, decorating it and cheering on runners as they pass by. Join us for this memorable day of community spirit, friendly competition, and the chance to make a difference!

The 14th annual Hattiesburg Half Marathon 10k 5k is set for Saturday, April 11, 2026. The race provides fundraising opportunities for participating Pine Belt nonprofits, while also attracting runners to the Hub City from numerous
THE COURSE:
START AND FINISH LINE- 201 FORREST STREET IN FRONT OF THE SAENGER THEATRE
The Hattiesburg Half Marathon 10k 5k course highlights iconic local landmarks and engages Hattiesburg businesses. The 2026 course will once again wind through downtown, head toward the Avenues, and loop around the Hattiesburg Zoo. A portion of the route also tours The University of Southern Mississippis campus before runners blaze down the Longleaf Trace to the finish line.
Each local nonprofit benefiting from the race in 2026 will also own a mile by decorating it and cheering on runners as they pass through.
CHARITY RUNNER:
A charity runner is a registered race participant who chooses to fundraise on behalf of one of the non-profits participating in the Hattiesburg Half Marathon . 10K . 5K. Charity runners form an alliance with the 501(c)3 of their choosing and provide financial and social engagement support. By choosing to become a charity runner, participants are committing their time, fundraising efforts and personal allegiance to the charitys mission.
The most important part of this opportunity is your support. Share your goal with your social media followers, the mission of your selected nonprofit, and/or a personal testimony. Challenge your followers to donate. Make it fun! Are you willing to run in a costume? Jump in a pool of jello? What will inspire your followers to support you? There may be a prize for the charity runner who raises the most.
