Choose between two scenic courses—7 miles or 14 miles—perfectly designed for both novice trail runners and seasoned athletes alike. The routes are well-marked and take you on a memorable journey around the park's perimeter.
As you tackle the trails, enjoy the camaraderie of fellow participants and the thrill of the race. Each runner will receive a finisher's medal and a stylish Heckscher Classic Bucket Hat to commemorate the day. Plus, awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in each distance category. With a basic aid station offering water and light snacks, you’ll be well-supported throughout your adventure. Run the scenic perimeter of Heckscher State Park in the Heckscher Classic! Choose between a 7-mile or 14-mile course on smooth, runnable trails. Perfect for both new trail runners and experienced athletes.
The course follows the perimeter of Heckscher State Park in a clockwise direction and will be clearly marked.
This event is one step up from a fat assstyle run. Timing will be done by hand, and a basic aid station with water and light snacks will be available at the start/finish area (mile 7).
Each participant will receive a finishers medal, and awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in each distance. Participants will also receive a Heckscher Classic Bucket Hat!
Participants in the King of the Hill 3-Hour Run on March 7th at Sunken Meadow State Park will receive $10 off race registration.
