Join us for the Heroes Walk 5K & Community Resource Fair on Sunday, April 27, 2025, in beautiful Spokane! This uplifting event is dedicated to empowering communities and fortifying families in the fight against veteran suicide, while celebrating the incredible sacrifices of our heroes. Starting at 9 AM, participants can explore a vibrant community resource fair before the festivities kick off with opening ceremonies at 10 AM.
The walk begins at 10:30 AM, offering two paths: the traditional 5K route and the Wounded Heroes Path, a 2K option tailored for those who may prefer a shorter distance. Families are encouraged to join in, with scooters, wagons, bikes, and strollers welcome to make the experience enjoyable for everyone. The day culminates in a Victory Celebration at the Finish Line at 11:30 AM, followed by a closing ceremony at 1 PM. Come together to honor our veterans, strengthen community ties, and create a brighter future for those who have served. Let’s walk together to choose life and make a difference!

HONOR HEROES - FORTIFY FAMILIES - CELEBRATE FREEDOM
Walk in support of veterans to choose LIFE. The enemy did not have victory in war, and will not win in the day to day battle for our veterans lives. Together we can end veteran suicide and fortify families after service. Live life abundantly with a community that hears, sees and recognizes the sacrifices of our HEROES. Family and supporters of our veterans are encouraged to join. Lets gather in a big way to show the love and support of our veterans and the USA.
The circle of return from military service to civilian life is a personal and community process. Join a community wide celebration and resources fair as we help veterans and families make the journey back home after service.
SCHEDULE:
9 AM Registration Opens and Community Resource Fair
10 AM Opening Ceremonies
10:30 AM Walk Commences on paths through Riverfront Park.
Select: 5K Path or Wounded Heroes Path (2K). Those walking with kids are welcome to bring scooters, wagons, bikes or strollers to make your time easier with little ones.
11:30 -12 PM Victory Celebration at the Finish Line
1 PM Closing Ceremony and Resource Fair Closes
HEROES SILKIES WALK BRINGS AWARENESS, SOLUTIONS, AND BUILDS A CONNECTED COMMUNITY TO END VETERAN SUICIDE AND HOMELESSNESS BY PROVIDING RESOURCES FOR WRAP AROUND CARE FOR THE WHOLE VETERAN AND THEIR FAMILY OR SUPPORT SYSTEM. THE CONTENT AND EVENT DAY WILL BE MINDFUL OF THE MULTIGENERATIONAL CROWD.
