Get ready to support a noble cause as you lace up your running shoes for the 5K or cheer on the little ones in the Kids Dash. With a goal of raising $60,000 to build a home for a deserving family in DeSoto County, your participation makes a real impact. The event features a Fall Fest with inflatables, games, arts and crafts, and delicious food from local restaurants, ensuring a memorable experience for everyone. For 18 years, the HomeRun for Habitat has brought our community together to make a lasting difference. More than 10,000 participants have helped raise over $500,000 for the Hernando DeSoto Chapter of Habitat for Humanity.
This years event will be hosted at the acclaimed Silo Square mixed-use development, located across from Snowden Grove Park in Southaven. Participants and families are invited to enjoy the HomeRun for Habitat 5K, Kids Dash, and Fall Fest.
Our goal is to raise $60,000enough to help build one home for a deserving DeSoto County family.
Habitat for Humanity believes everyone deserves a decent, affordable place to live. The Hernando DeSoto affiliate selects qualified families through an application process. Future homeowners contribute sweat equity by helping build their homes and commit to an affordable 20-year, zero-interest mortgage.
To date, the local affiliate has helped 32 families achieve the dream of homeownership16 of those homes were made possible through the HomeRun for Habitat.
