Join us for the Hope in Every Step 5K and 0.5K Community Walk on September 5, 2026, at Ottawa Metro Park in Lima, Ohio! Kicking off at 9:00 AM, this uplifting event benefits the Area Agency on Aging 3 Awakenings Victim Outreach Program, dedicated to supporting older adults who have faced abuse, neglect, or exploitation. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just want to enjoy a leisurely stroll, this event is perfect for all ages and fitness levels.
The 5K race starts at 9:00 AM, with registration prices at $20 for advance sign-ups and $25 on race day. Participants will receive a t-shirt (while supplies last), a finisher medal, and a goodie bag. The 0.5K Community Walk, beginning at 9:05 AM, is approximately a quarter-mile long and free to join, promoting healthy aging and fall prevention as part of the AAA3’s 10 Million Steps to Prevent Falls Campaign. START TIME: 9:00 AM
Join us for the Hope in Every Step 5K & 0.5K Community Walk benefiting the Area Agency on Aging 3 Awakenings Victim Outreach Program, which supports older adults who have experienced abuse, neglect, or exploitation. Proceeds from this event go directly to support older adult victims in their recovery.
Whether you are running, walking, or just wanting to support a good cause, this event is open to all ages and fitness levels.
The 0.5K Community Walk is just over 1/4 mile in distance. The walk will kick off at 9:05am and supports AAA3s annual 10 Million Steps to Prevent Falls Campaign to promote healthy aging and fall prevention. Regular exercise is one of many things people can do to lower their risk of falling. Do a lap or more!
REGISTRATION

0.5K Walk: Free
Day-of registrations are welcome, but T-shirts are not guaranteed.
All 5K race participants will receive:
* Event t-shirt (while supplies last) - T-SHIRT ORDERS HAVE BEEN PLACED AND WILL NO LONGER BE ACCEPTED - will have a few extras available on race-day as first-come, first-serve.
* Finisher medal
* Goodie bag
All 0.5K Community Walk participants will receive:
* a walk completion pin
* resources and handouts
Awards will be given to the top male and female finishers in each age group.

The race and walk will be sent off by RunToledo/Daves Running.
COURSE INFORMATION
The course is fully paved with some portions crossing wooden bridges. Participants are encouraged to go at their own pace. Strollers welcome!
Following the race, refreshments, awards, and finisher medals will be provided.
