Get ready for an exciting day of athleticism and fun at the inaugural Howl on the Niagara youth triathlon, taking place on Saturday, August 8, 2026, in the picturesque Grand Island, Erie. This vibrant event is designed exclusively for young athletes, featuring a thrilling lineup of races for two age groups. Children aged 10 and under will dive into a 50-meter swim, followed by a 1.5-mile bike ride and a 0.4-mile run. Meanwhile, participants aged 11 to 15 will tackle a 150-meter swim, a 3-mile bike ride, and an 0.8-mile run.
All young competitors will receive a custom swim cap, a T-shirt, and a finisher's medal to celebrate their achievements. The race will commence at approximately 8:30 AM, following the adult Summer Sizzler race, ensuring a fun-filled atmosphere for families and friends. Join us at Beaver Island State Park for a day of excitement, camaraderie, and unforgettable memories as we cheer on the next generation of triathletes!

Join us for the Inaugural Youth Triathlon by the Wolfpack Pups and in conjunction with the Summer Sizzler Adult Race.
This event is a youth only event that will take place after the adult race, so please read the entire description as the race start time might fluctuate based on the adult race.
Youth 10 and Under
50 Meter Swim, 1.5 Mile Bike, 0.4 Mile Run
Youth 11 - 15
150 Meter Swim, 3 Mile Bike, 0.8 Mile Run
Kids will receive a Custom Swim Cap, T-Shirt, and Finishers Medal

Race Day Packet Pickup and Sign-up
Location: Beaver Island State Park
Date: Saturday August 9, 2025 5:00am - 6:45am
Kids registration/packet pickup will start back up at approx. 8:00am race morning at the announcer tent.
You do not need to be, but can be, on the race site Saturday morning before the adult race starts.

8:30am - 9:00 Start Time is approximate to allow the majority of adults finish their event before sending off the kids.
Please be patient with this process as we want to clear out the adult F1 swimmers before we gather the kids.
This also allows the adults to finish their race before doing their second tri of the day with their mini triathlete!
