Join us for the inspiring HTVRC Run To Remember on Saturday, May 24, 2025, in Enola, Cumberland, Pennsylvania. This uplifting event is a 3-mile run/walk taking place through the beautiful Captain Leon Lock Veterans Memorial grounds, a revered site dedicated to honoring the sacrifices of our brave veterans. As part of the Memorial Day weekend festivities, this event brings the community together to pay tribute to those who have fallen in defense of our freedoms.
Participants can enjoy a scenic route while supporting a noble cause, as proceeds from the Run To Remember directly benefit programs that assist Pennsylvania National Guard service members and their families, as well as provide scholarships for local high school seniors. After the run, donโt miss the annual Memorial Day Service at 11 am at the memorial, where we will continue to honor and remember our heroes. Come out and be part of a heartfelt day filled with community spirit and remembrance!

The Hampden Township Veterans Recognition Committee (HTVRC) is a 501c (3) non profit organization committed to honoring veterans past, present and future.
The goal of the RUN TO REMEMBER is to bring our community together on Memorial Day weekend to honor those who died in the defense of our country. The Run to Remember is a 3-mile run/walk through the Captain Leon Lock Veterans Memorial grounds, a landmark veterans memorial located off of Interstate 81 in Hampden Township, Pennsylvania.
Proceeds from the event will go towards funding the committees programs including direct assistance to Pennsylvania National Guard service members and their families, scholarship opportunities for local High School Seniors and our continued commitment to expand and enhance the Captain Leon Lock Veterans Memorial for the central Pennsylvania community. The committee also holds several events per year that bring the community together to honor veterans and our military including National Vietnam Veterans Day, Memorial Day, Patriot Day, Veterans Day and Pearl Harbor Day.
