Get ready to lace up your running shoes for the Tenth Annual Illinois Homecoming Run on Sunday, September 27, 2026! Taking place in the vibrant Urbana-Champaign area, this exciting event invites participants to run, jog, walk, or roll a scenic 3-mile course from the east end of Anniversary Plaza to the Alice Campbell Alumni Center. Kick off Homecoming Week in style, starting at 10:00 AM, rain or shine, and enjoy a lively post-race celebration featuring food, drinks, and performances by the Marching Illini and special guests!
Whether you're a student, staff member, faculty, alumni, community member, or simply an Illini fan, everyone is welcome to join in the fun. For those unable to attend in person, a Virtual Homecoming Run will be available throughout Homecoming Week, from September 27 to October 3. Don’t miss out on the chance to secure your race t-shirt by registering for the in-person event before September 2! Come together to celebrate the spirit of Illinois and make unforgettable memories!

WELCOME TO THE TENTH ANNUAL ILLINOIS HOMECOMING RUN! Join us on SEPTEMBER 27TH AT 10:00 AM, RAIN OR SHINE, to run, jog, walk, or roll THREE MILES from the east end of Anniversary Plaza to the Alice Campbell Alumni Center. After finishing, we invite you to celebrate at the Alice Campbell Alumni Center with food, drinks, the Marching Illini, and other special guests to KICK OFF HOMECOMING WEEK! Students, staff, faculty, alumni, community members, Illini fans, and families are all welcomed!
We also have a Virtual Homecoming Run for those who can't make it to Champaign-Urbana for the in-person race! This will be open for the entire duration of Homecoming Week, September 27th through October 3rd. It should be noted that shirts are not available for the virtual event.
Registration for the in-person race will be open from July 8th at 12pm CDT to 9:30 am on September 27th. To BE GUARANTEED A RACE T-SHIRT FOR THE IN-PERSON RACE, PLEASE REGISTER BEFORE 11:59 PM ON SEPTEMBER 2ND.

You can still kick off Homecoming week even if you can't join us in Champaign-Urbana! Wear your best orange and blue to run, walk, or roll the three miles! You will have all of Homecoming week to finish and submit your results. Registration will close at 11:59 pm on 10/3. It should be noted, you will not receive a shirt or a race bib and chip.
