Join us at the scenic Busse Woods in Elk Grove Village, Cook, starting at 8 a.m. for a family-friendly 5K race and fun run/walk. This uplifting event supports the Christus Victor Lutheran Church Food Pantry, which serves over 60 families weekly by providing essential food and personal care items.
Participants can look forward to a chip-timed 5K run or walk, and there will be activities for children, including a free untimed race. After the race, enjoy a lively cookout with delicious food and music from a DJ. Don't forget to bring nonperishable food donations to support those in need! Mark your calendar for Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 8 a.m. at Busse Woods (Grove #32) for a great cause!
The Christus Victor Lutheran Church Food Pantry supports over 60 families each week who come in to shop for free. In addition to offering nonperishable and perishable food items, we also offer personal care products and hats and gloves in the winter. This funds raised from this event will support our food pantry!
This event is open to the community and will be a family-friendly event. There will be a DJ and a cookout with delicious food to follow! In addition to a chip-timed 5K run or walk, there will be activities for the children and an untimed (free) childrens race. There will also be a box to collect food donations! A raffle to support the food pantry will also be held throughout the month of September _at Christus Victor Lutheran Church_ if you are interested in winning fun prizes! _There will be NO raffle event at the 5K this year due to Busse Woods' rules and regulations. Thank you for your understanding!_

- Nonparticipants may purchase a t-shirt for an additional $8, added to their $17 registration.
