The race kicks off at 8 AM, following a stirring rendition of the National Anthem at 7:40 AM. With chip-timing, live results via text, and awards for the best-dressed participants and the biggest team, there’s something for everyone to enjoy! Organiser's Description
Come join our 3rd ANNUAL IT'S A MARDI- 5K race as we run through the ALAN E. SIMS CEDAR HILL RECREATION CENTER and enjoy running/walking through trees that invite peace. Can't run with us? Run it virtually.
Food vendors will be there to join in on the fun. The fun includes great swag (designer shirt, custom medal and beads), chip-timing, free text message with live results and awards. Free photos, best costumes, great post-race food and plenty more. Grab your friends and family, you are not going to want to miss this one.

-Aid station (Super High Priority): Provide water to participants as they pass by. Keep course clean for runners by picking up discarded cups, bottles and trash and placing it in the provided trash cans.
-Course Monitor ( Super High Priority): Help maintain a safe course by redirecting traffic away from participants and guiding participants in the right direction.
COSTUME AWARD
Feel free to bring pom pom, horns, music, instruments, signs etc. to encourage and cheer on runners. Bonus for creative
costumes!

REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY
CANCELATION POLICY ALL LACE UP RUNNING EVENTS PROCEED RAIN OR SHINE OR SNOW OR COLD. FOR THAT REASON, WE HAVE A STRICT NO REFUND POLICY.
IN THE EVENT OF EXTREME WEATHER, THE START TIME OF THIS EVENT MAY BE DELAYED BY UP TO AN HALF HOUR. PAST THIS TIME, THE EVEN COURSE MAY BE SHORTENED OR ALTERED TO PROTECT THE PARTICIPANTS.
IF CONDITIONS TURNS INTO LIGHTENING, ICE OR BECOME UNSAFE, THE EVENT MAY BE CANCELLED. EVENT CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS ARE AT THE DISCRETION OF THE RACE DIRECTOR.
WE ALWAYS STRIVE TO PRODUCE A FULL AND SAFE SPORTING EVENT, BUT SOMETIMES THE WEATHER CONDITIONS CAN AFFECT THOSE PLANS.
A LOT OF HOURS, DAYS AND EVEN MONTHS GOES INTO PLANNING A SPORTING EVENT AND WE DO SO WITH THE BEST INTENTIONS. UNFORTUNATELY, NO ONE CAN CONTROL THE WEATHER AND RACE DIRECTORS ARE NOT THE EXCEPTIONS.
OUR GOAL IS TO ALWAYS PRODUCE A FULL EVENT AS SCHEDULED AND ONLY MODIFY THESE PLANS DUE TO SAFETY CONCERNS SOME OF WHICH CAN BE CAUSED BY WEATHER CONDITIONS.
