Get ready for an exhilarating outdoor experience at the 22nd Annual Jackrabbit Classic, taking place on Sunday, May 11, 2025! Set against the stunning backdrop of Franklin Mountains State Park in El Paso, this event features two exciting trail run distances: 4.1 miles and 7.2 miles. With a start time of 7:30 a.m., runners can look forward to tackling a mix of rocky, technical trails and easier jeep roads.
This popular event is limited to just 225 registrants, so be sure to secure your spot early! Registration fees are $40 until May 8, with a late fee of $45 after that. Participants will receive a tech T-shirt and can enjoy plenty of food and drinks along the course and post-race. Don’t forget to carry your own water bottle, as the course includes long, steep climbs without shade. Join us for an unforgettable day of running, community, and beautiful scenery, all while supporting trail maintenance in Franklin Mountain State Park!

Some sections of rocky, technical trails, some easier old jeep road/ paved road.
(Course maps on-line after March 1). Course is similar to past routes, using Lower Sunset etc.
REGISTRATION FEES:
$40 entry until 11:59 p.m. on Thursday May 8.
$45 late fee.
** Your entry fee includes park entry for YOU the runner but not for family and friends in your vehicle.
*** NO DAY- OF PACKET PICK-UP OR REGISTRATION.
Race limited to first 225 runners. Last year we sold out one week prior to race!
In store registration and packet pick-up
Saturday May 10, 11 am - 5 pm at UP AND RUNNING.
*** No day of race packet pick-up nor registration.
YOU NEED YOUR RACE NUMBER TO GET INTO THE PARK.
Tech T-shirts to all runners.
Age group awards up to 80+
Plenty of food, drinks at 2 miles/ 4.5 miles / post-race.
Additional self-serve water on the trail.
** PLEASE CARRY WATER BOTTLE THERE ARE LONG, STEEP, UNSHADED CLIMBS.
*** IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU CARRY A WATER BOTTLE ON THE COURSE.
