This vibrant event kicks off at 7:00 AM with registration, followed by the "Kids Run" 1 Mile Fun Run at 8:00 AM and the 5K race at 8:30 AM. This year, the race has moved to a new location at the Lamar Dixon Expo Center, ensuring a fantastic atmosphere for all participants.
Runners of all ages are welcome to enjoy a flat and fast course while taking in the festive spirit of the Jambalaya Festival. Participants will receive a complimentary T-shirt and delicious jambalaya at the after-party. With awards for the top overall male and female runners, as well as age group medals for the 5K and fun run, there’s something for everyone! ENTRANTS WILL RECEIVE A FREE T-SHIRT AND FREE JAMBALAYA AT THE AFTER PARTY RUN AND AFTER PARTY IS THROUGH THE GROUNDS OF THE LAMAR DIXON EXPO CENTER MUSIC, COOKING, PARTY ATMOSPHERE - THIS IS A FLAT, FAST COURSE!
5K TEAMS WILL CONSIST OF 3 TEAM MEMBERS. THE CAPTAIN WILL CREATE THE TEAM NAME AND THE MEMBERS WILL JOIN THE TEAM.
