Organiser's Description
The Jefferson County Cancer Coalition Cancer Walk, presented by UW Cancer Center, is a community gathering that allows everyone to fight back against cancer. Teams will put up a tent at the Fort Atkinson High School Track and Field and take turns walking or running around the track. At the event, participants celebrate survivors, remember loved ones lost, and learn more about how to fight back against cancer. The Cancer Walk will raise much-needed funds, while increasing awareness of cancer prevention, early detection, treatment, and services available right here in Jefferson County.
Order of Events:10:00am - 11:00am: Team check-in & tent setup11:00am: Opening Ceremony followed by honor walks for survivors, caregivers, children fighting cancer, and to celebrate and remember those lostCancer Walk activities include a DJ, kids' activities, health and wellness classes, guest speakers, and more!1:30pm - 2:00pm: Closing Ceremony
