This exciting event kicks off at 8:00 am with a scenic race that winds through significant African American landmarks, culminating at the beautiful Gaines Park. Participants can register early on Friday, June 19, at the Madison Visitors Center from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm, or sign up on race day from 6:30 am to 7:30 am at the Broadway Garage entryway.
In addition to the main race, there will be a delightful free Children's Fun Run at 9:30 am, ensuring that the entire family can partake in the festivities. Every participant will receive a commemorative Juneteenth Medal, adding a special touch to this meaningful occasion. Awards will be presented to the top male and female runners, as well as the top male and female walkers, making this event not only a celebration of freedom but also a chance to showcase your athletic spirit. The race begins at 8:00 am with the course that winds past historical African American landmarks in Madison and ends at Gaines Park.
Early packet pickup and late sign up will be on Friday, June 19 THE MADISON VISITORS CENTER from 4:30 pm until 6:30 pm.
Packet pickup and sign up on race day, Saturday, June 20, will be on Broadway at the Garage entryway. Registration opens at 6:30 am and ends at 7:30 am. There will be a free Childrens fun run at 9:30 am.
All participants will receive a commemorative Juneteenth Medal. Awards will be given only to the 1st place Overall Male and Female Runner and the 1st place Overall Male and Female Walker.
