Organiser's Description
The idea behind this race was to bring the community together, be outside and run/walk in memory of Kaci. Kaci herself never stopped! She was such a spirited girl that was constantly on the go trying to keep up with her older brothers and their friends.
The Big Heart Big Smile Foundation was created in memory of Kaci Edelbrock, a six year old who passed away in 2018. The Kaci 5K invites all families to run/walk with babies in strollers and dogs on leashes.
Kaci would have wanted everyone to be included. All of the money raised for this event goes directly into programs such as, the Kaci Edelbrock Memorial Scholarship, Kacis Big Toy Giveaway, Kacis Backpack Project, Kacis Big Hugs, and Kacis Kindness Cards. The race will be held the first Sunday in May in Monroe.
