Kansas City Classics Series

Celebrate some of the areas longest running events and run the Kansas City Classics Series!  These events are some of the events that are the favorites of area runners and have lots of history and memories for the running community!  These events are run over different distances and in different parts of the metropolitan area and all of them support worthy causes.  All you need to do to complete this Series is complete five races out of the six participating events!  All you need to do to get started is to sign up here to let us know of your intent to complete the Series and then sign up directly with the Series races you choose to run or walk!  Participating races for 2024 include:
Groundhog Run 5K or 10K
Going the Distance 5K or 10K (formerly the Amy Thompson Run)
Hospital Hill Run
Tiblow Trot 5K or 5 mile
Kansas City Zoo Run 4 mile
Thanksgiving Day 5K
When you sign up here for the Series, we ask you to pick the races that you plan to run, but you can change your plans along the way, we just want to get a sense of how many Series participants to expect and how they plan to reach their goal. It is free to sign up for the Series, with your only costs being the cost of registration for the individual events.  We will keep track of which Series registrants finish each race to measure their progress towards their goal and a medal will be waiting for participants after they complete their fifth Series event.  Hopefully, this will inspire you to run additional events or run different events than you might otherwise consider.  We think that you will love participating in these classic events!
