It has been five years since we lost Katherine to suicide and the sixth Kat Walk. This year's Kat Walk will again be a 3K walk to raise money and awareness for mental health and suicide prevention. Donations and a scholarship to be awarded in honor of Katherine Schindler. The proceeds of this event are donated to several organizations close to her heart and ours: NAMI, 1N5, Fernside, and Donate Life (in her passing, Katherine was able to gift organs to others). Katherine was a 2014 graduate of Badin H.S. and as such we award a scholarship to a graduating student that possesses a little of Katherine's passion and compassion. We feel that this walk is a great opportunity to remember her and to raise awareness and funds so that others can know that they are never alone and always loved.

Though she be but little, she is fierce



If you register by 9-3-24 you will receive a tee shirt. Registration will remain open until the event start as well (just no shirt). Like last year the 3K walk will have you walking downtown Hamilton with stops along the way at Lounge 24, Municipal Brew Works and the 513 and ending at the HUB. There are some little incentives for those who walk the whole 3K. Of course lots of great raffle baskets and some representatives of various organizations on hand to help educate us about mental health issues.
