Get ready for an exciting journey of fitness and fun at the Kids Run Columbus! This vibrant event is set to take place on Thursday, July 16, 2026, in Columbus, Muscogee, and is designed for children in grades K-6. Starting at 6 PM at Hardaway High School, this program will guide young runners through a six-week training session, culminating in a target race at Lakebottom Park. Participants will have the opportunity to train for either a 1-mile run or a 5K on Saturday, August 1.
For just $20, kids will receive dedicated training sessions, a stylish T-shirt, a certificate of achievement, and even a $5 discount on the target race entry fee. Each Thursday, kids will engage in fun-filled training sessions lasting 20-30 minutes, progressively building their endurance from a quarter-mile up to a mile or more, tailored to their individual abilities. TARGET RACE: Lakebottom 1 mile or 5K Sat August 1 - race is at Lakebottom Park not Hardaway High School
