Let's put kindness in motion for a mission! Our VIRTUAL 5k is your chance to get active and support a good cause at your own pace from WHEREVER you are!
Join the Kindness Club for our virtual 5k run/walk where each step supports military families through the amazing work of the FISHER HOUSE FOUNDATION [https://fisherhouse.org/]. They provide lodging, airfare, etc. for service members, veterans, and their families receiving medical care. They also offer scholarships to military spouses and children.
How It Works:
Step 1: Sign up [https://runsignup.com/Race/WV/CharlesTown/KindnessInMotion] to participate. Registration will be open 1 July - 15 September.
Step 2: Buy a Kindness in Motion t-shirt [https://undergroundshirts.com/groups/kindness-in-motion-2026-run] (optional, $28 - $31.50) to wear as you complete the 5k. The pop-up store will be open all of July! Shirts will be shipped to the university and then sent out to you (yay for free shipping!).
Step 3: Ask your friends, family, coworkers, etc. to donate to the cause [https://connect.fisherhouse.org/campaigns/Kindness-in-Motion-2026]. Donations accepted until 11:59 pm ET on 15 September.
Step 4: Run or walk the 5k between 1-15 September. Take pictures and share them on socials or via email!
Step 5: Record your time on your registration page [https://runsignup.com/Race/WV/CharlesTown/KindnessInMotion] (optional).
