Get ready for an inspiring journey with the "Laces to Leaders" youth running program in Black River Falls, taking place from March 31 to May 17, 2025! This uplifting 7-week program is designed for students in grades 3-5 and focuses on building self-confidence and a positive self-image in both girls and boys. Participants will engage in a fun and dynamic 5K run training program, meeting every Monday and Wednesday for girls, and Tuesday and Thursday for boys, from 3:15 PM to 4:30 PM at the Lunda Community Center.
The excitement culminates on May 17, 2025, with the Pace and Pedal 5K Color Fun Run/Walk at Wazee Lake Recreation Area, starting at 8:30 AM. This event is not only a chance for participants to showcase their hard work but also a wonderful opportunity for family and friends to cheer them on. Youth ages 12 and under can register for free, making it a perfect family celebration. Join us in this empowering experience that encourages healthy lifestyles and goal setting, and watch your child transform into a confident leader!

JACKSON IN ACTION IS EXCITED TO OFFER OUR LACES TO LEADERS YOUTH RUNNING PROGRAM AGAIN THIS SPRING!
Thank you for your interest in the Laces to Leaders program! This 7-week program will focus on building self-confidence and positive self-image in young girls and boys, while taking part in a 5K run training program. This fun curriculum will teach girls and boys positive life concepts, inspire them to make healthy lifestyle choices, and empower them with the confidence to set and achieve powerful goals! By the end of the program, we hope to see strong, confident young girls and boys who are ready to face challenges and be positive leaders, while at the same time being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a 5K run with the support of their teammates and family members. Let the journey begin!
2025 PROGRAM DETAILS
Dates and Times: March 31 - May 17, 2025
Girls: Mondays and Wednesdays 3:15-4:30pm
Boys: Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:15-4:30pm
Participants: Open to Black River Falls students, currently in grades 3-5
Location: Lunda Community Center, Black River Falls
(Students are able to take school bus to B&GC - Lunda Center for drop-off; arrangements must be made with the bus garage)

LETS CELEBRATE! Pace and Pedal 5K Color Fun Run The culmination of the Laces to Leaders program is the Pace and Pedal 5K Color Fun Run/Walk on May 17, 2025 at 8:30am at Wazee Lake Recreation Area in Black River Falls. All Laces to Leaders participants are encouraged to participate in the event and complete a 5K with their friends and family! Registration is free for youth ages 12 and under.
Family members are invited to cheer your child on, or if youd like, to run along with them during the 5K. Finishing the 5K will be an exciting moment for your child!
