Event summary
Swimmers will kick off the day with the challenging Lighthouse Race, a one-mile swim from Greens Ledge Lighthouse to the shore, with check-in starting at 8:30 AM and the race beginning at 10:30 AM. Meanwhile, participants can also take part in the Buoy Race, which offers a fun swim from the buoy to the shore. Youngsters can enjoy the non-timed Children's Swim Races, organized by age, right along the beach. After the races, gather for the awards ceremony and indulge in traditional beach games such as tug-of-war, a pie-eating contest, and an egg toss. Join us for a day of fun, competition, and community spirit at this unforgettable seaside celebration!
Organiser's Description
Simultaneous with the Lighthouse Race is the Buoy Race (a swim from the buoy to the shore). Last but certainly not least, are the non-timed Childrens Swim Races, which are grouped by age and run parallel to the beach.
After the awards ceremony, all are invited to join in the traditional beach games, including tug-of-war, a pie-eating contest and an egg toss!
