LAKE COMO IS CELEBRATING A SIGNIFICANT MILESTONE THIS YEARITS 100TH ANNIVERSARY AS ITS OWN MUNICIPALITY. TO MARK THIS CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION, LAKE COMO IS ROLLING OUT A SERIES OF EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, AIMED AT BOTH HONORING ITS PAST AND LOOKING FORWARD TO ITS FUTURE. LAKE COMO, KNOWN AS SOUTH BELMAR FOR THE MAJORITY OF ITS HISTORY, OFFICIALLY CHANGED ITS NAME IN JANUARY OF 2005. THIS NAME CHANGE MARKED A NEW CHAPTER IN THE AREA'S RICH HISTORY, WHILE THIS YEAR'S CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION SEEKS TO HONOR THE ENTIRE 100-YEAR JOURNEY OF THE MUNICIPALITY.
