We are pleased to announce our 8TH ANNUAL 5K AND FAMILY FUN DAY in partnership with the beautiful Flower Mound development, Lakeside DFW. Please mark your calendar and plan to join us on the course on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 25, 2025! A day for the entire family, Allys Wish and Lakeside DFW are proud to invite you to join us for a fun filled morning honoring and celebrating the lives of the moms that Allys Wish supports. THE EVENT WILL INCLUDE A 5K RUN, 1 MILE FAMILY FUN RUN AND A DRESS UP CONTEST AS WELL AS A DOG COSTUME CONTEST, FACE PAINTING AND BALLOON ANIMALS. AND A TRUNK OR TREAT!!!
Allys Wish, Inc. is a nonprofit organization founded in Flower Mound, TX devoted to granting the last wish to young, terminally ill mothers with children. Inspired by the late Allyson Hendrickson, Allys Wish provides a memory for the family that will last a lifetime. Wishes are granted in the form of services, gifts, transportation, lodging, or any other wish the mother may have, and a typical wish granted is approximately $5,000. Since inception, more than 400 wishes have been granted to families across North Texas and the U.S. These wishes are so important in creating not only memories in the moment, but also memories to cherish for the children they leave behind.
There are many ways that you can support the Lakeside 5K including but not limited to branding sponsorships, sponsoring a water station, gathering a corporate / group team of 10, becoming an on-site vendor or racing as an individual. Your dollars will count and your dollars will make an impact, changing the lives of the families that Allys Wish serves.
