This non-competitive event will celebrate the amazing staff of Lawrence Public Schools with fun prizes for team participation, creative costumes, and engaging activities. After the run, attendees can explore healthy lifestyle vendor booths and take part in fabulous prize giveaways. Best of all, registration is free! Join us for the first annual Lawrence Public Schools 2 Mile Walk/Run on April 18, 2026! For this first year, race participation is limited to USD497 EMPLOYEES ONLY. We hope to expand the offerings in future years!
The race will kick off at 9:00am near the Lawrence Sports Pavilion parking area (Rock Chalk Park). The course is a one-mile, out-and-back on sidewalks/paved areas connecting to and on the Lawrence Loop. This event is non-competitive (no chip times) and is to celebrate the health and well-being of USD497 staff. There will be fun prizes for staff teams, costumes, and more. After the event, stop by healthy lifestyle vendor booths and participate in prize giveaways. The event is free to register. Staff who register by April 1 will receive a free t-shirt - t-shirts will be available on a limited time basis for registrations received after April 1.
