Join us for the annual Lifeline's R(un) for One 5K on Saturday, August 23, 2025, in Birmingham, Jefferson! This vibrant family-friendly event, which has been held since 2011, brings together alumni families, friends, advocates, and community partners to support vulnerable children around the globe. The race will kick off at Dawson Church's Recreation Center and take runners through the scenic streets of Edgewood in Homewood.
The day promises to be filled with excitement, featuring not just the 5K run, but also a fun run, bounce houses, delicious food trucks, and face painting—making it a perfect outing for the whole family! With registration starting at 7:00 AM and the 5K commencing at 8:00 AM, there’s plenty of time to get involved. For those unable to join in person, a virtual option allows participants to run at their own pace, anywhere they choose, while still receiving a race packet by mail. Organiser's Description
Started in 2011, the R(un) for One 5K is a family-friendly annual event where Lifeline Childrens Services' alumni families, friends, advocates, and community partners gather together to raise awareness and funding for vulnerable children around the world.
Through Lifelines international orphan care ministry, vulnerable children are receiving love and care, enrolling in schools, learning life skills and hearing the hope of the gospel.
On Saturday, August 23rd runners will lace up to run for this great cause! The Birmingham location is at Dawson Church's Recreation Center and will run through the streets of Edgewood in Homewood. Join us for a fun-filled morning with bounce houses, food trucks, face painting and fun for the whole family. We can't wait to see you there!
There is a virtual option where runners can receive a run packet in the mail and run wherever they are!
