Join us for the uplifting Lifeline's R(un) for One 5K on Saturday, August 23, 2025, in Birmingham, Jefferson! This vibrant annual event, which began in 2011, brings together families, friends, and community partners to support vulnerable children around the globe. As part of Lifeline Children's Services’ mission, participants will run not just for themselves but for those in need, helping to raise awareness and funds for orphan care through the (un)adopted ministry.
The race kicks off at the Dawson Church Recreation Center, winding through the picturesque streets of Edgewood in Homewood. With a 5K distance for seasoned runners and a fun run for the whole family, there’s an opportunity for everyone to make a difference. Can’t make it in person? Opt for the virtual option and run from anywhere while receiving a race packet in the mail! Registration opens at 7:00 AM, followed by the 5K at 8:00 AM and the fun run at 8:45 AM. Celebrate community spirit and compassion while making a positive impact on children's lives around the world!

Started in 2011, the R(un) for One 5K is a family-friendly annual event where Lifeline Childrens Services' alumni families, friends, advocates, and community partners gather together to raise awareness and funding for vulnerable children around the world.
Through (un)adopted, Lifelines international orphan care ministry, vulnerable children are receiving love and care, enrolling in schools, learning life skills and hearing the hope of the gospel.
On Saturday, August 23rd runners will lace up to run for this great cause! The Birmingham location is at Dawson Church's Recreation Center and will run through the streets of Edgewood in Homewood. There is a virtual option where runners can receive a run packet in the mail and run wherever they are!
