Get ready to kick off your Thanksgiving celebrations with the fourth-annual Ross Bridge Turkey Trot on Thursday, November 28, 2024, in Hoover, Jefferson! This lively event features a 5K race and a fun-filled 1-mile kids' run, perfect for families and fitness enthusiasts alike. The 5K race will start at 8 AM, followed by the 1-mile fun run at 8:45 AM. Participants will enjoy a scenic route through the community, all while giving back—proceeds from the event will provide holiday meals for men in a recovery program at The Foundry.
Before the race, be sure to pick up your packet on Wednesday, November 27, from 3-4 PM or on race day, from 7-7:45 AM at Ross Park. While registration for the 5K is full, there’s still space for the kids' fun run on race day! Join us for a morning of fun, fitness, and community spirit as we run for a cause and earn our turkey!

Thank you for registering for the fourth-annual Ross Bridge Turkey Trot 5K or Kids 1-mile fun run! We can't wait to see everyone Thanksgiving morning to earn your turkey! Please find some final race day details below.

RACE DAY REGISTRATION
There is still race day registration available for the 1-mile fun run but we have reached capacity for the 5k.

* As streets will not be blocked off to traffic, please be aware of your surroundings at all times as there could be cars on the route. Stay to the left side of the road during the route and look for street chalk markings for turns and directions. We'll have volunteers at intersections to keep everyone safe.
PRIZES
Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 male and female finishers of the 5k and to the winners of each age group. Awards to follow the fun run. The main goal however is to have fun, get a great workout in and start Thanksgiving Day off right. We'll see you bright and early Thursday!
GIVING BACK
Proceeds of this year's turkey trot are going to provide a holiday meal to men in a recovery program at The Foundry hosted by the Church at Ross Bridge in December.
VOLUNTEERS
We are still looking for volunteers to help at a couple of intersections on the course during the race. If you know anyone interested, please reach out to [email protected].
INCLEMENT WEATHER
Unless there is lighting present, the race will run as scheduled. If there is lightning or inclement weather, we will make a timely decision delaying up to an hour if necessary.
